To discharge function of duty officer 5 days per week, conducting interviews, conducting relevant investigations, gathering information with a view of issuing decision or fulfilling accommodation duties. Ensuring that accurate file notes are produced in a timely fashion.
Candidate Profile – this is a condensed version of a job description
To make appropriate enquiries, on a casework basis, into homelessness applications making decision/recommendations on same. To ensure clients are aware of nature and scope of temp accommodation and options available to them, of process that their application will follow and likely consequences of decision made.
Looking for people experienced / knowledgeable about homelessness, aware of the Options agenda, able to hit the ground running and to start a.s.a.p. Will be subject to a four-week trial with possibility of extension to end March.
