Job Description
Summary
An excellent opportunity to take responsibility for a team of Logistics Coordinators who provide import, export and delivery services for pharmaceutical products on a global basis. This role is to provide maternity cover for a 12 month period.
The Company
Our client operates a number of organisations within their group providing outsourced services to major pharmaceutical companies. This company provides import, export and logistical services to clients that are running clinical trials ensuring the avalibility of drugs for patients worldwide. Based in Crawley the global group has operations West Sussex, America, Mainland Europe and the Far East plus a global distribution warehouse network.
The Role
The job holder’s primarily responsible will be leading a team of Logistics Coordinators. This includes overseeing the processes for export, import and delivery of supplies while ensuring the services provided by the team meets the delivery, quality, and timeline requirements of both the client and the company. The Logistics Team leader will manage the activities of the department in order to meet the overall business plan for the organisation. Aspects include recruitment, training, mentoring, scheduling, performance management and review of direct reports. On occasion the Team Leader will interface directly with clients and have technical involvement on individual projects.
Experience
We are seeking an individual with specific expertise in air freight logistic and distribution covering import and export of goods. You will also need proven team leadership experience. You will also need to be highly service oriented with expertise in supporting clients. Any experience of pharmaceutical and/or clinical trial materials or regulated substances/products would be advantageous.
